Location: Cumbria (20 minutes from Carlisle)

Salary: Up to £65,000 plus comprehensive benefits package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join a large, well-established manufacturing business with a rich heritage and a strong reputation for operational excellence.

This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for overseeing end-to-end supply chain activities, including planning, procurement, customer service, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational performance, supporting business growth, and developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibility
  • Lead and develop the Supply Chain team, driving performance and continuous improvement
  • Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring customer demand is met efficiently and effectively
  • Develop and optimise production and supply plans to maximise operational efficiency
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring appropriate stock levels while minimising excess inventory
  • Manage global logistics and distribution activities
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across operations, commercial, planning, procurement, and production functions
  • Support strategic planning activities and contribute to wider business objectives
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
  • Ensure high levels of customer service and operational performance are consistently achieved
About You

You will be an experienced supply chain professional with a proven track record of leading teams within a manufacturing environment.

You will demonstrate

  • Strong supply chain leadership experience across planning, logistics, procurement, and inventory management
  • Experience developing and implementing supply chain strategies
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence
  • The ability to balance customer demand, production capacity, and inventory requirements effectively
  • Experience driving efficiencies and delivering measurable business improvements.
