Depot Operations Support Assistant - InPost Distribution Carlisle depot

Are you ready to be at the heart of a fast-paced, dynamic parcel operation? Join InPost Distribution as a Depot Operations Support team member and play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth daily parcel activities, exceptional customer care, and seamless administration in our bustling Carlisle depot!

Location:

Inpost, Unit D Kings Drive, Kingmoor Park South, Carlisle, CA6 4RD

Shift Pattern:

TUESDAY - SATURDAY

Hours:

13.00pm
-21.00pm

Salary:

£29,000 - £32,000p/a (depending upon experience)

What you’ll be doing :
  • Working closely with the other members of the Team in order to fully understand Customer and Suppliers requirements and expectations.
  • Conduct thorough driver de-briefs, setting ambitious performance targets that motivate continuous improvement and uphold our high operational standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, handling de-briefs and all queries with professionalism and responsiveness, while ensuring feedback is effectively shared to drive key performance goals.
  • Champion Health & Safety excellence, maintaining a secure and compliant working environment at all times.
  • Dealing with customer enquiries
  • Deal with any procurement needs.
  • Data inputting
  • Provide timely, quality, and accurate information, (Weekly/Monthly)
  • General administration duties
  • Support with any other “ad hoc” administrative tasks
  • Investigate and conclude customer queries.
What we need from you:
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office, particularly words processing and spreadsheet skills
  • ‘Customer Service’ oriented
  • Previous experience within a transport or logistics environment is highly valued, providing a solid foundation for success in this role.
  • Experience with transport management systems such as Microlise is highly advantageous, though not essential — we welcome candidates eager to learn and adapt.
