About this roleReporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will oversee a small team responsible for coordinating store activities to meet the requirements of the business. You will be tasked with implementing stock control measures to ensure a smooth and effective operation of the Data Centre.
Main responsibilities- Daily leadership and delegation of work of a small team via effective communication
- Ensure that requisitions for stock are actioned accurately and timely.
- Picking and packaging up orders ready for dispatch
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring stock is organised in a safe manner.
- Undertake regular stock counts
- Day to day management of all Health & Safety standards including risk assessments, manual handling & COSHH
- Monitor performance, drive improvement and resolve challenges and issues as they arise.
- Line management responsibility for the team including, return to work meetings, team morale, taking an active part in reviews and appraisal meetings.
- Receipting and management of goods received and receipting processes.
- Liaise with purchasing for stock replenishment.
- Effective categorisation and management of stock.
This is a full-time role working 41 hours per week. These hours will be worked Monday – Friday between the hours of 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Experience required- IT literate, particularly adept in the use of Microsoft packages especially Excel, Outlook and Word
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and cross team working
- Structured methodical approach
- Full clean driving licence and confident and willing to drive company vans.
- Trustworthy self-starter with an ability to work without close supervision and hands on approach
- Must have previous management/supervisory skills and commercial awareness
