Location

Carlisle – candidates must live in or very close to the CA1–CA3 postcode area.

Hours

Night shifts – 5 pm to 1 pm, average 37.5 hrs per week. A rolling rota, including weekends and bank holidays, provides flexibility and advance notice (≈10 weeks).

About

The Role

You will head out to visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment. You may work alone or alongside a Monitoring Support Officer, building confidence and reassuring both the individual and the public.

Responsibilities & Requirements
  • Visit individuals in their homes to install electronic monitoring equipment.
  • Build relationships and maintain the safety and confidence of each individual.
  • Support the reduction of pressure on the prison system by helping ex‑prisoners reintegrate into their community.
  • Work independently or as part of a small team, following guidance from experienced colleagues.

To apply you must have:

  • Current valid UK driver’s licence
  • Reasonably fit with good written and verbal communication skills
  • BPSS and Standard DBS clearance (identity verification, employment history checks and a DBS check covering spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings)
  • Completion of an Occupational Health Questionnaire to assess suitability for the role
