Full Time. Shift Pattern:
Monday – Friday, with flexibility to support operational requirements.
Mitie is seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead the delivery of Hard FM and Estates services at Cumberland Infirmary, ensuring the safe, effective and compliant operation of critical building services across the site.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Estates and Hard FM function, providing direction and support to up to four direct reports at Supervisor and Manager level.
- Ensure the successful delivery of planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities in line with contractual requirements and service specifications.
- Develop and implement a proactive maintenance strategy to maximise asset performance, reliability and compliance across the estate.
- Monitor operational performance, ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely, on time and to the required standards.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, supporting continuous service improvement and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Proven experience in a senior Estates, Technical Services or Hard FM management role.
- Strong knowledge of building services, estates maintenance and Hard FM operations within a complex environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing operational teams, budgets and service delivery performance.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities, with experience managing multiple priorities and operational demands.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
- A sound understanding of compliance, health and safety, and statutory obligations within an Estates or Facilities Management environment.
