Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Children's Home Registered Manager to lead a brand-new four-bed children's residential home in Carlisle. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact by establishing a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for boys aged 6-18. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee all aspects of service delivery, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Providing strong leadership and management of the home and staff team.
- Ensuring the home's Statement of Purpose remains accurate and reflective of service delivery.
- Maintaining compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, safeguarding requirements, and organisational policies.
- Monitoring and continuously improving service quality and standards.
- Leading staff supervision, performance management, appraisals, and professional development.
- Managing budgets and resources efficiently.
- Promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity, and confidentiality.
- Overseeing health and safety compliance to ensure the home remains safe and well maintained.
- Supporting the induction and ongoing development of team members.
- Creating a positive, supportive culture focused on achieving the best outcomes for young people.
- A relevant Level 3 qualification in residential childcare, Children and Young People's Workforce, health and social care, or an equivalent qualification.
- A relevant Level 5 leadership and management qualification for residential childcare, or equivalent.
- Previous management experience within children's residential services.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and people-management skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A strong understanding of the challenges faced by children and young people in care.
- Experience working with young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
- Experience across residential childcare, social care, or youth work settings.
