Reports to:
Director of Steel
Position Summary:
Manage the flow of materials for processing, fabrication, routing, and delivery.

- Manage and create pull list and cut list for parts processing operations
- Create parts processing estimates.
- Schedule and manage capacities for all parts processing equipment across all shifts.
- Create daily shipping schedules and load planning for site deliveries and external coating services.
- Internally works closely with Purchasing Manager, Material Supervisor, Production Supervisor, and Transportation Coordinator
- Externally works with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and customers as required
- Oversee hardware department and purchased parts receiving
- Ensure all necessary information is recorded and/or communicated in a timely and accurate manner to the appropriate people
- Completion of Scheduling Boards / Execution of Daily Plans / Review Daily Production Reports
- Floating of employees between work areas based on backlog and capacity
- Oversee RM craneway inventory and yarding plan
- Manage internal and external sales orders.
- Coordinate materials for daily production
- Perform audits of parts processing schedule attainment
- Resource capacity planning
- Dispatch gooseneck trailer loads
- Act as a back-up to the Purchasing Manager
Skills:
Strong communicator, computer skills (Microsoft Excel), industry experience, estimating, ERP systems knowledge, steel processing equipment knowledge, scheduling and ability to read shop sketches and blueprints
Education:Minimum High School Diploma or GED, 2-year degree a plus
Experience:5 years+ of management experience in a fabrication shop
