Help shape the voice of Carlisle’s home of culture

Tullie is looking for a creative, organised and enthusiastic Marketing & Communications Assistant to support the promotion of our exhibitions, events, learning programmes and visitor experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for culture, storytelling and audience engagement to gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of marketing activity in a busy and ambitious cultural organisation.

Working closely with the Marketing & Communications Executive and wider programme teams, you’ll help deliver campaigns that grow audiences, strengthen community engagement and support income generation across the organisation.

Purpose of the Role
  • Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns for exhibitions, events, learning programmes and commercial activity.
  • Create engaging digital and print content including social media posts, newsletters, website updates and promotional materials.
  • Help grow and engage audiences through creative communications and audience‑focused campaigns.
  • Support day‑to‑day marketing administration including campaign coordination, supplier liaison, reporting and maintaining marketing assets.

We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, adaptable and creative, with excellent communication skills and experience using social media platforms and Microsoft Office. Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM or email marketing systems would be an advantage.

This role would suit someone looking to build a career in marketing and communications within the arts, heritage or cultural sector.
