The Company – QA Technician

Our client, an FMCG business, is recruiting a QA Technician on a permanent basis. They have a strong track record of developing talent and offering clear career progression.

The role focuses on ensuring that microbiological, analytical and quality assurance testing is performed in line with documented site procedures and meets site/customer specifications where applicable. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for food safety and quality who can work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.

• Microbiological testing on finished product and process water
• Log samples and enter results into LIM system
• Routine sampling of process points; maintain QA records
• Hygiene monitoring, pest monitoring, and positive product release
• Verify incoming materials meet standards; conduct glass/hard plastic audits
• Ensure calibration and cleanliness of labs; assist with CIP and environmental sampling
• Support with borehole sampling, filter integrity testing, and site water systems

• Microbiology laboratory experience (ideally 2+ years)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in analysis
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Self‑motivated and proactive
• Good communication skills across all levels

• Basic salary: £32,552 p.a. (£15.65 per hour)
• Discretionary site bonus: £1,000
• Annual bonus scheme
• Seniority bonus: 1% per year of service, paid monthly
• Hours:
  
  08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
• Permanent role, no agency
