Trainee Trade Counter Customer Service Assistant

Location: Carlisle

Salary: £12.50 ph

Job Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 07:30am - 04:30pm (One Saturday every three weeks)

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Trade Counter Customer Service Assistant to join our team. You ll be the first point of contact for our customers, providing expert advice and excellent service at our trade counter. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn, develop new skills, and grow within a supportive team.

• Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Process sales accurately and efficiently at the trade counter
• Provide product knowledge and advice to help customers find what they need
• Manage stock levels, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
• Maintain a clean and organised trade counter area
• Work collaboratively and in the warehouse to support daily operations

• No previous experience required - full training provided
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills and mathematical ability for processing sales and stock management
• An interest in or willingness to learn about our products and services
• A team player who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service
