Accounting Manager

Experience: 5–10 years in Real Estate Accounting

Steel Peak Properties is a rapidly growing real estate investment platform focused on acquiring and operating industrial outdoor storage (IOS) properties across the Western U.S. Our team combines institutional discipline with entrepreneurial execution, targeting high-conviction opportunities in compelling industrial markets such as San Diego, Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City, and Seattle. We are building a best‑in‑class operating platform to support continued portfolio growth, new capital and JV structures, and scalable investor reporting.

Steel Peak is seeking a hands‑on Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting functions across our investment entities and operating platform. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financials, managing cash and credit facilities, supporting investor reporting, and coordinating with our external CPA and capital partners. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to implement scalable accounting systems, improve reporting efficiency, and ensure compliance across multiple entities and partnerships.

• Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheets for each JV entity as well as the operating company
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and vendor payment processes
• Perform bank reconciliations and oversee the integrity of financial records across entities
• Set up and maintain bank accounts for new acquisitions and entities
• Administer line of credit draws and repayments
• Prepare and execute investor distributions
• Liaise with external CPA for preparation of K-1s, tax returns, and audits
• Support development of cash flow tracking, forecasting, and reporting tools
• Implement and enhance accounting systems and processes as the platform scales

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
• 5–10 years of accounting experience with a focus on real estate investments, development, or fund accounting
• Strong understanding of multi‑entity structures, intercompany accounting, and JV reporting
• Experience with Quick Books Online, App Folio, Yardi, or similar systems
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑growing, entrepreneurial environment
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills
