Senior Accountant – Carlsbad, CA

• Assist with month‑end close by preparing and posting journal entries and accruals.
• Manage prepaid expense, accrued liabilities, fixed assets and depreciation entries.
• Reconcile intercompany activities with subsidiaries to ensure accuracy of intercompany transactions.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts to support documentation and assist with complex reconciliations.
• Prepare, review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
• Document accounting processes, policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with company leaders and colleagues to provide an effective collaborative working environment.
• Perform ad‑hoc analysis and projects, as requested.
• Assist with year‑end financial audit activities and documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the Skilled Nursing industry.
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels.
• Deadline oriented, meticulous, strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Confident working independently and using initiative to guide through challenges.
• Highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with other financial systems.
