Executive Recruiter - Accounting & Finance at Professional Search Group
Professional Search Group (PSG) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our client's finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, supporting month-end close, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and improving accounting processes. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Base pay range$90,000.00/yr - $/yr
Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Prepare financial statements and assist with management reporting
- Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with revenue recognition, accruals, and complex accounting transactions
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, and other departments
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP; Power Query a plus)
- Experience with ERP systems (Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, or similar preferred)
