Accounts Receivable Specialist

A well-established real estate organization is adding an Accounts Receivable Specialist to its property accounting team. This role is a little different from traditional corporate AR because you'll manage receivables connected to a portfolio of properties and work directly with tenants and property managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage AR activity for an assigned portfolio of properties
• Prepare recurring tenant invoices and charges
• Post rent and other tenant payments
• Monitor tenant aging and delinquent balances
• Reconcile tenant accounts and monthly statements
• Research discrepancies between leases, invoices, and payments
• Process credits, adjustments, and account corrections
• Communicate with tenants regarding outstanding balances
• Partner with Property Managers to resolve billing issues
• Track collection activity and payment commitments
• Research unapplied and unidentified payments
• Prepare tenant account statements
• Reconcile AR activity to the general ledger
• Assist with monthly property-level reporting
• Support month-end and year-end close
• Maintain documentation for audits and financial reviews
