Accounts Receivable Specialist Commercial Real Estate

A well-established real estate organization is adding an Accounts Receivable Specialist to its property accounting team. This role is a little different from traditional corporate AR because you'll manage receivables connected to a portfolio of properties and work directly with tenants and property managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage AR activity for an assigned portfolio of properties

Prepare recurring tenant invoices and charges

Post rent and other tenant payments

Monitor tenant aging and delinquent balances

Reconcile tenant accounts and monthly statements

Research discrepancies between leases, invoices, and payments

Process credits, adjustments, and account corrections

Communicate with tenants regarding outstanding balances

Partner with Property Managers to resolve billing issues

Track collection activity and payment commitments

Research unapplied and unidentified payments

Prepare tenant account statements

Reconcile AR activity to the general ledger

Assist with monthly property-level reporting

Support month-end and year-end close
