Job Description: The Commissioning Manager reports to the Director of Project Management and is responsible for leading and coordinating commissioning activities across all projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead a team of commissioning engineers, mentor junior staff, and manage multi‑project schedules.
- Prepare and maintain commissioning schedules, budgets, quality standards, and SOPs in coordination with project leadership.
- Ensure planning, coordination, and cooperation between subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams on-site.
- Guarantee the application meets the highest safety standards during start‑up and commissioning phases, complying with all safety regulations.
- Fulfill reporting requirements, delivering reliable data within deadlines and ensuring all equipment and plant functional tests are completed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, RAMS, and system of work procedures.
- Coordinate training programs for commissioning teams, ensuring completion of safety and technical training.
- Produce and review RAMS for subcontractor commissioning activities and manage remedial work plans.
- Report non‑conformance issues to the Director of Project Management and update drawings and operational documentation as necessary.
- Ensure Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) are executed, defects recorded, and corrective actions arranged.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Technical diploma or graduation in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as Commissioning Engineer or Manager in industrial plant settings.
- Competencies:
- Deep understanding of contract management for complex plants.
- Specialty in control systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, and experience with Siemens and Allen‑Bradley systems.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings, documents, and specifications.
- Broad familiarity across Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and other relevant disciplines.
- Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and quality control processes.
- Experience training staff on safety and technical matters.
- Proficiency in managing vendor and customer relationships.
- Leadership in coordinating resources and managing project schedules.
- Experience with purchasing and procurement processes.
- Solid expertise in Solid Waste, Wastewater, Biogas, and Power Generation sectors.
