On-Device Machine Learning Optimization Engineer
We are seeking a talented On-Device Machine Learning Optimization Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing machine learning models and benchmarks to enhance power and performance on various devices. You will work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement optimization opportunities in AI‑driven use cases.
Responsibilities- Analyze power and performance data from ML benchmarks such as MLPerf-Tiny.
- Run benchmarks across different configurations, including ML accelerators and various memory types.
- Characterize ML accelerators and define workload partitioning based on benchmark results.
- Modify ML models by adjusting parameters, such as CNN dimensions and adding layers.
- Establish relationships between model parameters and power and performance metrics.
- Collect traces from AI‑driven use cases to identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with Wearable System Architects and cross‑functional teams to drive optimization efforts.
- Proficiency in RTOS and Embedded ML Model Deployment.
- Experience in Power and Performance Analysis.
- RTOS and Android Development skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with consumer electronics, such as phones, watches, or glasses.
- Strong firmware development skills for tiny ML on hardware/MCUs.
- Familiarity with ML development environments.
- Ability to modify ML models for performance analysis (not training).
- Strong problem‑solving, multitasking, and critical‑thinking skills.
