Techniciantoworkcloselywithprojectmanagers,clients,andinspectorstoensureaccurateresultsandsuccessfulprojectcompletionandbestpractices.

Theidealcandidatewillberesponsibleforperformingtesting,troubleshooting,andcomplianceverificationof

Emergency Responder Radio Communication Systems (ERRCS/DAS).Thisincludesconductingpreliminarysitetesting,post-installationacceptancetesting,andannualinspectionstoensuresystemsmeetallperformanceandjurisdictionalrequirements.

Youwillworkcloselywithprojectmanagers,clients,andinspectorstoensureaccurateresultsandsuccessfulprojectcompletionandbestpractices.

• • Perform benchmark,acceptance,post-installation,andannualtestingofDAS/ERRCSsystems.
  • Conductsysteminspections,includingverifyingbackupbatterysystemsandoverallfunctionality.
  • UsespecializedRFtestequipment(PC-Tel,spectrumanalyzers,PIMtesters) tomeasureanddocumentsystemperformance.
  • Conductgridtestingtoconfirmcoveragecompliancewithlocalfirecoderequirements.
  • TroubleshootandresolveRFcoverageissues,connectivity problems,andalarmconditions.
  • VerifyinterconnectivitybetweenfirealarmsystemsandDAS/ERRCSsystems.
  • Readandinterpretblueprints,diagrams,andprojectplanstosupporttestingandcommissioning.
  • Assistwithcableterminations(fiberopticandcoaxial),programming,andcommissioningofDAS/ERRCSequipment.
  • Collaboratewithprojectmanagers,clients,and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) tomeetdeadlinesandcompliancestandards.
  • Maintainaccuratedocumentationofalltesting,inspections,andcommissioningwork.

• • 1–5+yearsofexperienceasaDAS/ERRCS,telecom,orlow-voltage technician.
  • StrongknowledgeofRFprinciples,antenna theory,andwirelessinfrastructure.
  • Experiencewithfiberopticandcoaxialcabling(termination,testing,troubleshooting).
  • Preferred certifications:
  • FCCGROL(General Radiotelephone Operator License )
  • NICET–In-Building Public Safety Communications
  • Manufacturer-specific(e.g.,PC-Tel,Anritsu)
  • OSHA
