Lead Financial Advisor

Judson Group is proud to be retained by a dynamic, fast-growing RIA in the search for a Lead Financial Advisor
. The firm’s mission comes to life through proactive planning, deep client relationships, and an unwavering commitment to trust and integrity. This is a close-knit, highly collaborative team where service is the north star—from the front desk to the firm’s owner.

We are seeking a Lead Financial Advisor to play a pivotal role within the firm’s wealth management team. After a thoughtful immersion and transition period, you’ll assume responsibility for a defined group of clients, lead complex planning conversations, and serve as a trusted guide through every stage of their financial lives. You’ll partner closely with a dedicated Support Advisor and Client Service Associate, allowing you to focus on what matters most: deep relationships, thoughtful advice, and leadership.

This firm’s service model goes far beyond the standard advisor-client dynamic, and we’re looking for someone who embraces that depth and sees it as a privilege—not a burden.

This role is ideal for a seasoned advisor who brings confidence, humility, and a growth mindset, and who is energized by mentoring others and helping shape the future of a growing firm.

Why You’ll Love This Role
  • You’ll work with clients who value advice, trust the process, and want a long-term partner—not a transactional relationship.
  • You’ll mentor and develop client-facing team members, influence firm-wide initiatives, and contribute at the executive level.
  • With a strong support team and well-defined processes, you can stay focused on strategy, relationships, and leadership.
  • You’ll be challenged, supported, and empowered to continuously refine your craft in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Serve as the primary advisor for a group of key clients, owning relationship management, retention, and outcomes.
  • Lead discovery, onboarding, and ongoing planning engagements for new and existing clients.
  • Design and oversee the execution of comprehensive financial plans aligned with clients’ goals and values.
  • Deliver objective, unbiased advice across investments, tax planning, risk management, and estate considerations.
  • Prepare for and lead client meetings with confidence, clarity, and empathy.
  • Collaborate with your support team to ensure seamless client service, planning updates, portfolio changes, and proactive opportunities.
  • Coordinate holistic wealth management, including complex planning for high-net-worth clients.
  • Act as an accountability partner to advisors, supporting annual growth and development goals.
  • Contribute insights on industry trends, best practices, and service enhancements to support firm growth.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and expand engagement across the firm’s services.
  • Proactively seek and cultivate client referrals to support net new asset growth.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive, client-facing experience in wealth management, investment management, or financial planning.
  • CFP® designation required; advanced degree or additional credentials (CFA, CPA, MBA, JD) a plus.
  • Deep expertise in comprehensive financial planning, including complex and HNW client cases.
  • Strong understanding of the RIA and independent advice environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal—with a calm, confident presence.
  • High empathy, sound judgment, and the ability to simplify complexity into actionable guidance.
  • Proven experience mentoring and developing other professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and follow-through in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial planning/CRM platforms.
  • Experience with the firm’s tech stack a plus:
Redtail, Holistiplan, eMoney, Schwab, Orion, GReminders, Riskalyze, FP Pathfinder, Social Security Solutions.
  • Highly competitive base salary + bonus opportunities.
  • Full suite of benefits.
