This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer, who will be a great running mate for the new CFO of this construction home services company. Org Chart will include a team of more than 30 that owns the company’s financial planning and analysis, accounting, general ledger, financial reporting, accounts receivable, credit and collections, accounts payable, & pricing. Present financial information to Executive Management, Audit Committee and Private Equity Group.

Job Duties +
  • As a trusted partner to the CEO, development and refine this company’s strategic goals while empowering your departments, co-leading board presentations, derive data driven decisions, and strive for operational excellence.
  • Guide your VP of FP&A, Director of Financial Ops and other finance leaders to be true business partners with operations.
  • Support build out of accounting & finance department to operate within a succinct month-end close calendar, ensuring department executes on timely financial reporting, and FP&A department delivers digestible and bite size data points for operations to execute on.
  • Serve as the primary contact for communication and coordination with private equity group, external auditors, bankers, and insurance brokers.
  • Continually develop your head of FP&A to leverage financial metrics, further define industry benchmarks, and creation of dynamic real time analytics to make internal and external data drive decisions to benefit operations.
  • Ensure debt covenant compliance, cash management meets working capital requirements with key with domestic vendors and streamline cloud-based tools for daily cash reporting.
  • Provide executive oversight over multiple business units, regions, as your matrixed organization supports the finely curated close process.
  • Lead the financial due diligence and integration for a heavy acquisition pipeline
  • Oversee “Percentage of Completion” (POC) accounting for a diverse project portfolio, monitoring any margin erosion from estimated-to-actual margin variances.
  • Refine and leverage a Snowflake powered dashboard to track real-time KPIs, including field operations productivity, route-based driving metrics, and enhancing margins.
  • Manage the VP of Accounting and the broader accounting function to ensure a “no-surprises” month-end close and GAAP compliance across 16 entities
  • Your Chief Human Resources Officer will supervise payroll and labor cost management for a workforce of 3,200 employees both union and non-union
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations Finance & Pricing to optimize Time & Material (T&M) work and full-service contract structures.
  • In conjunction with your VP of Accounting, act as the primary liaison with Deloitte if needed, ensuring the successful completion of annual audits and maintaining a strong internal control environment.
  • Drive improvements in the cash conversion cycle, specifically focusing on DSO and accounts receivable
+ Qualifications +
  • 15+ years of progressive experience within a fast paced M&A heavy, PE Roll Up, or expansive organic growth environments
  • Use of collaborative and facilitative approach and the flexibility to work with broad range of cultures, personalities, and work styles
  • 2+ years experience in a senior finance role at a complex organization
  • Past experience in building highly efficient teams and bringing automation to finance departments
  • Budgeting/Planning/Analytic Tool Environment experience such as Vena, Adaptive Insights, Host Analytics, One Stream, HFM, Alteryx, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, or Anaplan all a plus
  • If you have been successful working in a cloud-based ERP environment such as Acumatica, MS Dynamics 365, MS Dynamics GP, Net Suite, Oracle Fusion, SAP Cloud, or Intacct also a plus
