Technical Services Engineer – Carlsbad

Who you are:
  • You have 6+ years of experience operating and solving issues with SATCOM terminals and networks.
  • Proven experience with RHEL, Ansible, and Cisco technologies, including administering and troubleshooting Cisco networks (routers, switches, firewalls), and resolving IP/network issues across all OSI layers.
  • Demonstrated experience with Linux-based servers working in Open Shift/Kubernetes/Virtual environments, and ideally you are a Linux Red Hat Certified System Administrator.
  • Preferably, you have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience along with a Security+ Certification and Cisco certification: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or CISSP.
  • You are a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Security Clearance and are able to travel domestically and internationally 25% on a regular basis; big plus if you have your IAT Level 2.
What you’ll do:
  • Provide customer, production, and engineering support for systems, including hubs, remote terminals, and equipment, both onsite and remotely.
  • Configure systems, monitor performance, analyze data trends, and resolve technical issues across OSI layers.
  • Support CONUS and OCUNUS installations, testing, training, and maintenance of hardware, networking, RF components, and software systems for current and future L-band customers.
  • Collaborate with internal NOC teams and external customers to maintain network integrity.

Compensation:

The expected range for this role is $140,000–$160,000 per year. Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education. Actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
