Key Responsibilities & Duties Demand Planning & S&OPTranslate omnichannel sales projections and marketing initiatives into a single, unified forecasting dataset that Finance, Sourcing, and leadership can accurately execute against.
- Advanced Forecasting: Develop statistical and collaborative forecasting models categorized by SKU, sales channel, and geographic region.
- S&OP Leadership: Own and facilitate the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, driving strategic alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
- Launch & Lifecycle Planning: Model forecasts for new product launches, mapping out meticulous phase-in and phase-out timelines for legacy SKUs.
- Seasonal Modeling: Map out demand fluctuations tied to promotional schedules and seasonal volume spikes.
- Scenario Modeling: Conduct proactive scenario planning to insulate the business against sudden growth-rate variances or economic shifts.
- Continuous Improvement: Track forecast accuracy metrics and conduct rigorous root-cause analyses on any major misses to continuously refine the predictive model.
Govern the supply replenishment engine by translating the finalized demand plan into optimized inventory targets, automated purchase requisitions, and long-range capacity projections.
- PO & Requisition Management: Issue and manage purchase orders and inventory requisitions directly against the demand plan, leveraging automated workflows with strong operational oversight.
- Inventory Architecture: Establish dynamic inventory target-setting metrics, defining safety stock parameters and weeks of supply (WOS) thresholds by SKU and fulfillment location.
- Long-Range Capacity Planning: Model component and finished goods requirements 6–18 months out to ensure our vendor matrix can absorb rapid 30%+ YoY volume scaling.
- Risk & Exposure Mitigation: Run continuous supply-side scenario planning to identify single-source constraints, long lead-time risks, and potential disruptions before they impact order fulfillment.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience specializing in demand planning, supply planning, or inventory optimization, ideally within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), beauty, or wellness brand.
- Scale Track Record: Proven experience building or scaling planning models through periods of hyper-growth (30%+ YoY compounding scales).
- S&OP Expertise: Demonstrated success building, leading, or significantly maturing a cross-functional monthly S&OP process.
- Analytical Polish: Advanced capabilities in statistical forecasting, data modeling, and data-driven scenario analysis.
- Systems Competence: Deep familiarity with dedicated Demand/Supply Planning software, advanced Excel models, and ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics BC, Net Suite, SAP).
