We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Real Estate Property Manager to oversee the management and operations of our diverse property portfolio. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and profitable performance of our properties, while providing exceptional customer service to tenants and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the day‑to‑day operations of assigned properties, including tenant relations, maintenance coordination, rent collection, and lease administration assistance.
  • Assist with regular property inspections to assess condition, identify maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with the coordination and oversight of property maintenance, repairs, and renovations, engaging and managing vendors and contractors as necessary.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of property management schedules, including preventive maintenance plans and cleaning programs.
  • Assist the property manager in their role as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster positive tenant relationships through effective communication, conflict resolution, and proactive tenant engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with the establishment and management of property budgets, monitoring income and expenses to ensure profitability and adherence to financial targets.
  • Assist with rent collection, including assisting with rent notices, tracking payments, and pursuing delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist with monitoring and controlling property expenses, seeking cost‑effective solutions and negotiating favorable contracts with suppliers and service providers.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation and industry best practices, implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance.
  • Assist with the maintenance of property records, leases, inspection reports, and other documentation in accordance with legal and company requirements.
  • Assist with the collaboration with legal counsel as needed to resolve disputes, handle evictions, and mitigate legal risks.
  • Assist with the supervision of maintenance personnel, both internal and external, by providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as accounting, marketing, and leasing to support overall business objectives and foster cross‑functional teamwork.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite/Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, One Note, One Drive, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Proven experience as a Property Manager or in a similar role within the real estate industry.
  • Strong knowledge of property management principles, practices, and applicable laws.
  • Familiarity with property management software and systems. App Folio a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and problem‑solving mindset.
