About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker/Pastry Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on laminated doughs, bread pastries, and a variety of other baked goods. Hourly Role
:
The hourly rate for this position is between $22.50 – $25.50. Decisions regarding individual wages will be based on experience and education.
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and laminated doughs, including croissants, Danish, and puff pastry.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to create doughs and batters.
- Follow recipes and adjust based on seasonal ingredients and availability.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor and manage baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing products.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
- Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues.

- Previous experience as a baker or pastry cook, preferably in a professional kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of laminated dough techniques and bread pastry production.
- Familiarity with various baking methods and equipment.
- Ability to work early mornings, starting around 4:00 AM, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
