Job Summary
Strategic Accounts Sales Manager is responsible for sales and strategy of Sun Mountain golf products and services to our largest strategic clients. With a focus on strengthening our position with strategic accounts, they maintain personal one-on-one contact with all key employees at strategic accounts headquarters & stores and facilitate business maximization in all product sales and marketing efforts. This individual will be responsible for continuously finding ways to improve our business with strategic accounts by staying connected and monitoring performance and in-store/online brand presence.
Duties/Responsibilities- Successfully sell and promote Sun Mountain’s products and services while maximizing strategic account potential, ensuring strong partnerships, profitability and strategic alignment.
- Responsible for securing and renewing orders & merchandising to ensure best sell through and meet account target sales.
- Maintain open communications between Sun Mountain and strategic accounts. Establish professional customer/vendor relationship with appropriate personnel across departments.
- Along with internal team, drive strategic account sales strategy and execution, including identifying new opportunities, building partnerships, and negotiating large-scale deals.
- Problem-solving and regular follow-up and tracking in strategic account product and deliveries.
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales to develop and implement strategies that drive revenue, expand market share and achieve sales targets.
- Communicate weekly business updates with summarized trend analysis. Summarize product and marketing opportunities to product/sales/marketing teams internally for additional growth.
- Analyze sales data, trends, and customer insights to guide account-level planning and optimize product assortments.
- Complete requested forecasts & reporting documents on time and with extreme accuracy.
- Proven ability to consistently analyze, track and evaluate booking performance based on Sun Mountain goals.
- Partner closely with marketing, product, and operations to deliver effective go-to-market strategies, promotional campaigns, and seamless execution across channels.
- Provides strategic oversight of reporting and analytics for key accounts, ensuring the maintenance of a comprehensive library of reference sheets that detail the specific processes required to support each account effectively.
- Stay on top of industry trends and sales opportunities based on assessing market data.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and provide internal recommendations based on comprehensive analyses of competitive product and marketing landscapes in the market.
- Utilize futuristic approach to business intelligence, technology and AI, particularly through the use of sell-through reports, to enhance profitability.
- Perform visits to strategic accounts as necessary to show product, marketing and sales initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or related field; or equivalent experience in golf industry.
- 6+ years of sales experience, with demonstrated success in managing national and strategic accounts.
- Strong understanding of the golf industry, including retail, green grass, and corporate sales channels.
- Excellent relationship management, communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with experience in CRM and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to partner cross-functionally with marketing, product and operations teams to deliver results.
- Based in Missoula, MT or Carlsbad, CA.
- Ability to travel as needed.
