Role SummaryInside Sales Representative – Covered for the San Francisco Bay Area region, this role can work fully remote. You proactively promote IDT’s portfolio of custom oligonucleotide solutions across key application areas such as qPCR/dPCR, CRISPR, Functional Genomics, Synthetic Biology, and Next Generation Sequencing. The position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager for the San Francisco Bay Area.
Responsibilities- Drive revenue growth within the San Francisco Bay Area territory by managing inbound and outbound sales activities, focusing on customer acquisition and retention.
- Collaborate closely with Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) to align on regional sales strategies, account priorities, and pipeline development.
- Maintain and expand customer relationships through proactive communication, product education, and tailored solutions that meet client needs.
- Build in‑depth knowledge of CRM and funnel management tools; consistently forecast business, manage opportunities, build pipelines, and make sound business decisions.
- Demonstrate effective selling skills and product understanding to uncover customer needs, position appropriate solutions, and maintain strategic partnerships with key customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science‑related discipline or equivalent experience;
Master’s degree in a life science field is preferred. - Previous experience in the life science market, preferably in a customer‑oriented and/or sales environment.
- 1+ year of life science sales experience preferred (remote or in‑person).
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques (NGS, CRISPR, PCR, Synthetic Biology, etc.).
- Experience with popular CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
- Molecular biology or similar lab experience.
Salary range: $65,000 – $75,000 per year; total compensation target: $100,000 – $115,000 annually. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) eligibility.
