Our client is a successful developer in San Diego County with various projects running simultaneously. They are in growth mode and in immediate need of a skilled pipe layer laborer

• Pipe laying
• Install, assemble, and repair pipes and fittings, including ductile iron pipe.
• This may involve:
  • Preparing the area for pipe laying by grading and trenching
  • Assisting equipment operators in placing pipes
  • Using hand tools to backfill around pipes
  • Using pipe lasers and transits
  • Joining pipes using bolts, screws, fittings, solder, and plastic solvent cement
  • Testing pipes for leaks
  • Manufacturing
  • Prepare the plant for production by performing a variety of tasks, including:
    Cleaning raw and waste materials, Skimming molten iron, Adding raw materials to ladles, Rolling pipe down conveyors, Operating mobile equipment, Cleaning work areas, Stacking timbers on pipe, Monitoring pipe ovens, Patching ladles

• Pipe Fitters must possess a wide range of technical skills related to their profession, such as:
  • Tools needed to assemble, fit and repair pipes and their associated plumbing systems.
  • Welding experience
  • Ability to customize piping systems to meet a customer’s needs.
  • Experience with all components of piping systems, including brackets, clamps and hangers.
• Other important skills and qualifications for Pipe Fitters include:
  • Customer service skills, as Pipe Fitters must communicate with clients or customers on a daily basis
  • Technical skills to do their job accurately, including math and science skills
  • Physical capabilities, as Pipe Fitters work in a physically demanding field and must be able to fit into tight spaces
