Operator, Warehouse 2 (SIAL)

Location :
Carlsbad, CA. 92008

Duration: 6 Months

Purpose of The Position :
A Warehouse Operator 2 is responsible for receipt, put away, transport and dispensing of GMP and non-GMP materials. This person performs cycle counts, orders supplies and cleans and maintains the receiving and warehouse areas. The position also ships products, and performs transactions in the inventory system.

Essential Job Functions:

• Complies with safety guidelines , especially those directly related to the operation of warehousing equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Transports GMP raw materials, components and supplies to the designated manufacturing facilities.
• Dispenses GMP materials to users.
• Maintains accurate inventory records for GMP raw materials and supplies.
• Receives and warehouses GMP raw materials and supplies as needed.
• Delivers parcels to recipients throughout the company.
• Performs cycle counts, and adjust the inventory records accordingly.
• Orders supplies as directed by the department manager.
• Maintains the layout and accuracy of the inventory management system.
• Ships products to clients and testing facilities.
• Cleans and maintains the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned (i.e., vial inspection qualification)

Basic Qualifications:
Education:
HS Diploma or GED

Experience:

2 to 5 years warehouse experience, biotechnology and/or GMP experience preferred

Knowledge and

Skills:

• Must possess a
  valid driver’s license
  .
• Working knowledge of desktop computers running the
  Windows operating system
  .
• Experience operating a forklift, order picker and other warehouse equipment .
