Overview
:
Be part of the nation’s only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste. Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as an Administrative Assistant and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Responsibilities
:
- Support the Mining/Underground Operations Department with routine administrative duties.
- Assist in the development and publishing of departmental correspondence and documents.
- Proof and develop internal and external presentations.
- Serve as the departmental Training Coordinator.
- Make travel arrangements and schedule meetings.
- Process expense authorizations and reimbursements.
- Serve as the Records Coordinator for the organization.
- Coordinate the Required Reading Program.
- Interact professionally with multiple levels of management and employees.
- Exercise good judgment, discretion, and professionalism in all matters.
Minimum Requirements
:
- Associate’s degree with two (2) years of administrative experience, or high school diploma or equivalency with four (4) years of administrative experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances.
Preferred Requirements
:
- Records experience.
- Previous WIPP experience.
