Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and flexible Caregiver Office Administrative Assistant to join our team. This unique position combines direct caregiver responsibilities with office administrative duties.

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide caregiver coverage when staff call out and to cover open caregiver shifts
. The employee will also be trained to assist with various office responsibilities and gradually develop the skills needed to support daily office operations.

Priority will be given to open caregiver shifts and coverage needs. Office responsibilities will be scheduled around caregiver coverage requirements.

Will convert to FT Case Coordinator

Primary Caregiver Responsibilities
  • Cover caregiver call-outs and open shifts as needed.
  • Provide safe, compassionate, and reliable care to clients.
  • Follow each client's care plan and established care instructions.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate caregiver documentation.
  • Communicate client needs, concerns, and changes to the appropriate office staff.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Be flexible and available to help meet staffing needs.
Overnight Shift Policy

If scheduled to cover an overnight caregiver shift
, their next scheduled workday will be canceled to allow for appropriate rest and recovery.

Office Administrative Training & Responsibilities

The administrative portion of the position is designed to provide additional training and support to the office while allowing the employee to develop skills in client care coordination, documentation, scheduling, and caregiver recruitment.

As part of this position, the employee will be trained in office administrative duties, including:

  • Assisting with client care plans
    .
  • Updating and maintaining client one-sheets
    .
  • Helping coordinate and assist clients with appointments.
  • Communicating appointment information to clients and staff.
  • Assisting with office paperwork and documentation.
  • Learning basic scheduling and staffing procedures.
  • Assisting with caregiver-related administrative tasks.
  • Learning how to conduct caregiver interviews
    .
  • Supporting the office team with other administrative responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
  • With healthcare experience; home care or case management experience preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client needs.
