A Snapshot of Your Day

This role is located at Oso Grande Windfarm in Maljamar, NM. You’ll be responsible for the service, diagnostics, and maintenance of Siemens Gamesa wind turbines at the site. The selected candidate will provide excellent service for our customers, complete technical work orders, interact with teammates, and have a safety-first mentality. Previous experience as a wind turbine technician is highly desired.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Contributes to the improvement of new and updated field procedures and standard methodologies.
• Ability to work inside the wind turbine enclosures at an elevated height of 300 feet.
• Maintain composure during stressful and hazardous situations.
• Physical requirements include ladder climbing (minimum 267 steps), stair climbing, standing for long periods, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, work above shoulders, pushing, pulling, exposure to vibration, chemicals, confined spaces, use of hand tools, and extreme weather conditions.
• Capable of efficiently handling additional roles and responsibilities at an operating wind farm.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years’ experience as a Wind Turbine Technician highly desired. Technical education or certifications in electrical/mechanical systems are a plus. We consider various education, training, and experience combinations.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a team. Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less and pass a physical exam.
• Strong planning, prioritization, problem-solving skills, and high-quality work orientation.
• Experience with electrical systems, PLC programming, and converters is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record is required.
