RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work mid shifts from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM

• 13-week assignment starting ASAP

• Floating and call requirements - must be available 2 hours prior to shift start minimum

• 48-hour guarantees are NOT approved

• 6-week scheduling with maximum 1 RTO per schedule

• Patient ratio of 4:1 in Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department

• Required to work 1 summer and 1 winter holiday dependent on department needs

• Must wear full uniform (no specific scrub color requirements)

• 2+ years of experience required

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC

• Preferred certifications: ENPC and NRP

• Fingerprints required for all New Mexico travelers

• Use Med Host (EDIS) electronic medical record system

• Provide comprehensive emergency room patient care utilizing the nursing process

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in patient care planning

• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively

• Administer medications and monitor for side effects

• Maintain detailed patient care documentation with strong organizational skills

• Supervise and direct assigned personnel in patient care delivery

• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
