BRIEF

DESCRIPTION:


The position of Evidence Technician will be responsible for all Eddy County Sheriff’s Office evidence in both the Carlsbad and Artesia offices. Evidence Custodian will oversee department Evidence Custodian Assistants and will document and properly care for all evidence, evidence records, evidence storage lockers and evidence storage. This job includes destruction orders for evidence, case management of evidence in storage, tagging and bar-coding evidence, abandoned and unclaimed property, evidence in nightly drop boxes and lockers, etc Guarda Employee must be able to work with all department personnel professionally.

Employee may be required to work irregular hours and schedules, attend job-related meetings, perform other duties as assigned and must perform all duties with minimal supervision.
