DETENTION NURSE-FT - STARTING PAY: $41.87 - $46.21 PER HOUR DOE

This position plans and performs a wide range of general medical nursing duties including inmate daily sick call, record keeping, medication administration and control. The full‑time nurse will coordinate care with contracted physicians to perform medical services.

Minimum qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Licensed Registered Nurse with continuing education credits
• One year nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently with guidance from the Healthcare Director and/or County Physician
• Effective human relation skills to deal with inmates, officers, and Detention Center employees
• Ability to handle stressful situations and respond appropriately
• Ability to work irregular hours, attend job‑related meetings, and perform other duties as assigned

Required documents for application:

• Driving Record dated within the last 30 days
• Waiver (completed, printed, notarized)
• Veterans' Form (completed, printed, uploaded)
• Nursing License / Certification

Starting Hiring Range: $41.87 – $46.21 per hour DOE
