Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Level 3 Trauma center requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications along with 2+ years of ER experience.

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
• NRP and ENPC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Fingerprinting required for all NM travelers

• Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department setting
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Mid shift schedule, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
• Floating required within scope and experience, typically to ICU when needed
• Uses Med Host (EDIS) EMR system
• 6-week scheduling blocks with blocked scheduling not approved
• Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients utilizing the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Uniform policy allows any color scrubs with full uniform required
• Holiday coverage required for 1 summer and 1 winter holiday, dependent on department needs
• Maximum RTO of 1 per schedule, with requests typically less than 1 week
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
