Position Summary

Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Model and enforce customer/member service standards, handle complaints within company guidelines, and oversee community outreach programs. Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, implement safety controls, and develop action plans to improve performance.

Supervise and develop associates: hire, train, mentor, assign duties, recognize achievements, and promote a culture of belonging. Provide quality eyewear guidance to members: consult, educate, and maintain confidential information while performing minor repairs and operating optical equipment.

Maintain open‑door policy: address associate concerns, research issues, review policies, and suggest resolutions. Coordinate job‑related activities, build relationships with stakeholders, set goals, communicate progress, and identify improvement opportunities. Uphold integrity, ethics, and Walmart values while supporting a regenerative company mission.

• Completion of 2+ years of college or 1 year retail and 1 year supervisory experience, or 2 years general work experience including 1 year optical experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws

• Experience supervising associates
