Our Pioneer Industries brand is adding a Maintenance Technician to our manufacturing facility located in Carlstadt, New Jersey. This role is for 2nd Shift with hours from 3:30 pm to midnight.

What would you do as our Maintenance Technician?
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, machinery, and facilities. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will ensure a safe, efficient, and productive environment, minimizing downtime and supporting the achievement of our business objectives.
You would also:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, air, water, gas and wastewater systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions. This may include air compressors, air conditioning, air dryers, pumps, boilers, clutches, CNC, and brakes, as well as lubricating, paint, hydraulic and pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
- Conduct repairs, replacements, and adjustments on faulty or worn-out components, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, inspections, and lockouts.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, addressing critical issues to minimize production downtime and ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor and maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks, ensuring timely availability.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and equipment advancements to enhance your technical skills and contribute to the team’s success.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness among maintenance staff and other relevant stakeholders. Ensure all repairs are in compliance and up to code.
- Maintain a safe working environment holding self and others accountable to OSHA safety regulations and ASSA ABLOY standards.
- Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations, and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3+ years’ experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Must understand mechanical, electrical, electronic systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and PLC technology.
- Strong ability to read technical manuals, schematics and blueprints to understand equipment and controls.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear maintenance reports.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other technicians and operators.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to equipment maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and lockout-tagout.
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in manufacturing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize, managing tasks with competing priorities.
- Standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods during maintenance tasks.
