Join Soter Vineyards as our next Event Manager and help drive direct‑to‑consumer sales and brand loyalty by creating and executing exceptional, hospitality‑driven experiences. This hybrid position oversees all aspects of event planning and execution—from intimate VIP tastings and wine club release parties to collaborative off‑site events—ensuring every guest interaction enhances wine sales, membership growth, and brand engagement. Regular presence in the tasting room—hosting tastings and supporting guest experiences—ensures strong guest relationships, real‑time insight into hospitality operations, and alignment between daily experiences and our evolving events program.

Your attention to detail, strategic approach to sales conversion, and commitment to seamless operations will be essential to our continued success. As the event program grows in scale and impact, driven by the success and initiative of this role, the position will have a greater focus on event strategy, development, and execution, with reduced reliance on regular tasting room presence.

Soter Vineyards is a world‑class producer and grower of exceptional Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and sparkling wine in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, calling home Mineral Springs Ranch—a 250‑acre oak savanna in the Yamhill‑Carlton AVA. Our Biodynamic Estate Vineyard, winery, tasting room, and heirloom vegetable farm exist in ecological harmony, forming the backdrop for our hospitality experiences and our growing Direct‑to‑Consumer team.

Key Responsibilities

    • Setting up and conducting tasting and VIP experiences, tactfully encouraging wine club enrollment and wine sales.
    • Working with Hospitality Captain to turn tables and manage incoming guest reservations.
    • Overseeing and/or executing opening and closing procedures.
    • Maintaining ample supply of soft goods needed to facilitate tastings and host guests, communicating needs to the manager.
    • Executing guest follow‑up emails, calls, and other communications as needed.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum two years in event planning or event‑related work with demonstrated sales orientation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a clear aptitude for sales and relationship‑building.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and coordinate staff, vendors, and cross‑functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines with attention to detail and problem‑solving agility.
  • Passionate about wine, sustainability, and delivering authentic, educational guest experiences that align with Soter’s brand values.
  • Highly adaptable, with the capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced setting requiring flexibility for varying event demands and schedules.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, evenings, and occasional travel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Food Handlers Certification and OLCC permit.
  • Physical capability to work actively on your feet, lift 50 lbs, and adapt to seasonal onsite demands.
Why Join Soter Vineyards?
  • Comprehensive benefits: medical/dental/vision, paid time off, wine discounts, matching 401(k), and educational programs.
  • Work‑life balance.

  • Leadership visibility and the opportunity to shape our hospitality legacy.
