This is an amazing opportunity for a confident and capable payroll professional to join a multi-site organisation from their Carmarthenshire Head Office...... perfect for someone who thrives on accuracy, structure and control, and who enjoys being the expert responsible for delivering a seamless, compliant and efficient payroll operation. You'll work closely with Finance, HR and operational leaders, but you will personally manage the end‑to‑end payroll process (rather than line‑managing staff).What

you'll be responsible for

Sole ownership of end‑to‑end payroll management for weekly and monthly cycles, including one‑off and permanent adjustments.
Accurate administration of PAYE, NIC, pensions and statutory payments in line with HMRC requirements.
RTI submissions and reconciliation of payroll reports.
Maintaining GDPR‑compliant payroll records and safeguarding sensitive employee information.
Managing payroll year‑end processes including P60s, P11

Ds, and statutory reporting.
Acting as the primary point of contact for payroll queries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Liaising directly with pension providers to ensure correct deductions and timely submissions.
Reviewing and improving payroll procedures, controls and systems
Supporting internal and external audits with accurate, timely payroll data.
Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, collaborating across Finance, HR and Operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

What we're looking for

Strong experience in Sage Payroll and advanced Excel capabilities.
Excellent knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
High attention to detail, analytical mindset and confidence working with large data sets.
A proactive, organised and discreet professional who can work independently while partnering effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Someone who thrives in a busy, hands‑on environment and takes pride in delivering a reliable, accurate payroll service.
