Come and join our teamWe’re looking for a motivated, community‑focused individual to join our team as a Civil Enforcement Officer, helping us keep Carmarthenshire’s streets, towns and communities safe, accessible and well‑managed.
As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you’ll play a vital frontline role supporting the Council’s parking service. You’ll patrol on‑street and off‑street parking areas, provide advice to the public, and ensure parking regulations are followed to keep traffic moving and protect access for residents, businesses and visitors.
What you’ll be doing- Patrolling designated areas across the county
- Issuing Penalty Charge Notices where parking regulations are breached
- Supporting road safety and reducing congestion
- Providing helpful, professional advice to motorists and members of the public
- Reporting defects, obstructions and issues affecting the highway
- Working closely with colleagues across Highways, Transport and Enforcement
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
- Confidence to work independently and outdoors in all weather
- A fair, calm and professional approach to sometimes challenging situations
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures
- A commitment to supporting safe, accessible communities
