We are recruiting enthusiastic and committed Specialty Doctors in Anaesthetics to support anaesthetic and critical care services at Glangwili General Hospital and Prince Philip Hospital in Carmarthenshire. These permanent posts include work across theatres and critical care areas, with participation in the on‑call rota.
Our Health Board is focused on delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care, and Specialty Doctors play an integral role in the development and delivery of Anaesthetic and Critical Care services across the organisation.
Both Glangwili and Prince Philip are busy, well‑established district general hospitals with supportive, multidisciplinary teams and a diverse workforce. The hospitals are located in an area known for its outstanding natural environment, coastal access, and national parks.

- Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire
- Aberaeron and Cardigan integrated care centres in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
- 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices)
- Dental practices (including four orthodontic)
- 97 community pharmacies
- 43 general ophthalmic practices
- 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
- Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services
