Teaching Assistant - Carmarthen

We are seeking reliable and patient Teaching Assistants to support primary and secondary schools across the Carmarthen region. This role offers flexible supply options, including temporary, long-term, and permanent positions, with competitive daily rates paid weekly via PAYE.

• Work in inclusive educational settings, including ALN units, to support pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
• Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and provide 1:1 and small group support in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and wellbeing.
• Support pupils with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and complex physical or medical needs.
• Help schools meet SEN and ALN objectives by supporting pupils in ALN units and in classrooms across primary and secondary settings.

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications in childcare, education, or supporting teaching and learning are desirable.
• Previous experience working with children or young people in educational or care settings, especially in ALN units, is preferred.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willingness to register is required.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Vetro can assist with this).
