Description

Do you have industry experience in agricultural engineering and a passion for sharing your knowledge? Join our dedicated team at Gelli Aur Campus, one of Wales' leading land‑based education centres, and help equip learners with the technical skills, confidence and practical experience they need for successful careers in the agricultural engineering sector.

Working within a well‑established curriculum team with strong links to industry, you'll deliver high‑quality teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 programmes, combining classroom learning with hands‑on practical training in our purpose‑built engineering workshops and specialist facilities.

What you’ll be doing

As a Lecturer in Agriculture Engineering, you’ll:

  • Deliver engaging classroom and practical teaching across Agriculture Engineering programmes.
  • Assess learner progress and provide high‑quality feedback to support achievement.
  • Act as a personal tutor, supporting learners throughout their educational journey.
  • Develop innovative teaching resources and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Work closely with employers and industry partners to ensure our provision reflects current industry practice.
  • Promote a safe learning environment, ensuring all practical activities meet health and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to learner recruitment, open events and wider curriculum activities.
About you

Welsh Language Requirements:

  • Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking)
    - Level 0/1 Desirable
  • Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading)
    - Level 0/1 Desirable

You’ll be passionate about developing future talent and committed to delivering an outstanding learner experience. You’ll ideally have:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent higher‑level qualification.
  • A Level 3 qualification in an agriculture‑related subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification, or the willingness to achieve a PGCE within two years (full support will be provided).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for practical, hands‑on learning.
  • Current industry knowledge and a commitment to continuous professional development.
