Do you have experience supporting children with communication difficulties, SEMH and challenging behaviour?

Are you resilient, patient and able to provide consistent support within a residential setting?

Teacher Active is proud to be working with children's residential homes in Carmarthenshire supporting children and young people with ALN, communication difficulties, SEMH and challenging behaviour. The settings are focused on providing a safe and supportive environment where the individual needs of each child are recognised and respected.

We are looking for a Children's Residential Support Worker for long-term and short-term roles, with both day and night shifts available. The successful Children's Residential Support Worker will support children with their day-to-day needs, promote positive behaviour and provide consistent care while helping to maintain a safe residential environment.

The successful Children's Residential Support Worker will have:

Social Care Wales registration or a willingness to apply
A Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one
Experience supporting children and young people with ALN, SEMH, communication difficulties and/or challenging behaviour
Experience working within a residential or care setting
A patient, resilient and person-centred approach
Flexibility to work day and/or night shifts
