Overview
A large Health Board in Wales is recruiting a locum Biomedical Scientist in blood science. The role involves performing laboratory tests, analyzing blood samples, and interpreting results to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include working within haematology, blood transfusion and coagulation and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Candidates need to be proficient in running automated analysers including Siemens Advia, Wefen tops and ortho swifts.
Collaboration with medical staff and adherence to established laboratory protocols is central to this role.
- HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration required
- Degree in Biomedical Science or a related field
- Previous experience in a blood science laboratory is advantageous
