Senior Systemic Psychotherapist – Adult Specialist Eating Disorder Service

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Systemic Psychotherapist to join the Adult Specialist Eating Disorder Service. The post is advertised as a Band 8a, but applicants who do not yet meet all 8a competencies are encouraged to apply under the Agenda for Change Arrangement for Pay and Banding of Trainees (Annex 21) supported by a structured development plan.

• Deliver specialist systemic therapy to individuals, families and groups within Eating Disorder services.
• Conduct comprehensive assessment, formulate systemic models and provide evidence‑based interventions for clients with complex and high‑risk mental health needs.
• Exercise autonomous clinical decision‑making while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide consultation, advice and training to colleagues and manage a clinical caseload.
• Supervise clinical staff, support CPD, conduct performance reviews and contribute to service development through audit, evaluation and project work.
• Support operational delivery, drive innovation and align service improvements with Welsh Government and Health Board priorities.
• Embed a systemic approach within the service and strengthen MDT culture.

• Access to Hywel Dda’s wider systemic community, including CPD opportunities, reading groups, peer networks and communities of practice.
