List Coordinator

Hywel Dda University Health Board are looking to recruit a permanent full time Waiting List Coordinator, to join our existing team at Glangwili General Hospital.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the waiting list team. This role involves working with the admissions staff to book and assess patients for their operations, which includes complex procedures.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires excellent communication skills to liaise with patients, relatives and members of the multi-disciplinary team. Experience in the use of systems such as WPAS and WCP is desirable.

• Coordinate designated waiting lists as required, supervised by the waiting list manager.
• Provide comprehensive coordination and administrative support to the Waiting List Manager / RTT Lead and the team.
• Book and assess patients for their operations.
• Handle confidential health records both manually and on Myrddin, demonstrating ability to manage sensitive and confidential patient information (clinical letters, investigations and results).
• Act as the first point of contact for all forms of communication for their designated waiting list specialties for the consultant and medical team from GPs, patients and relatives, consultants and other hospitals.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with WPAS and WCP systems desirable.
• Ability to handle confidential health records.
• Ability to liaise with patients, relatives and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to speak Welsh desirable;
