Garden Centre Plants Department Manager

We are looking for a Horticultural Manager to join our forward-thinking team. Working in the Garden Centre this is a high-volume environment with a fast turnaround.

• Maintenance of the plant area.
• Supervising duties including key holder opening and closing store as required.
• Excellent customer service.
• Organising team schedules and any staff issues.
• Evaluating employee performance and providing training and guidance as needed.
• Filling in for absent employees and assisting teams as needed to successfully complete projects.
• Ensuring that employees follow company policies as well as health and safety regulations.
• Ensuring a high and consistent standard of customer service.
• Business compliance in accordance with Health and Safety and food safety laws and regulations.

The successful candidate should have proven managerial experience and be physically fit as this is a very hands-on role and some heavy lifting may be required. A highly motivated individual that has a passion for exceptional retail standards, driving sales & great customer service. Management experience & 2 years of plant knowledge a must, previous work within horticulture required.
