Registered nurse​/ODP

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse/ODP to join the Endoscopy Unit at Glangwili General Hospital.

• Assist in delivering the highest standards of pre‑, peri‑ and post‑procedure care to patients undergoing a variety of endoscopy procedures.
• Work as part of a busy team serving both out‑patients and in‑patients, including participation in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota.
• Support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, bronchoscopy and urology.
• Collaborate daily with gastroenterologists, surgeons, nurse endoscopists and Bowel Screening Wales practitioners.
• Follow a standard competency pathway, receive mentorship and undertake training in accordance with development needs.

We offer a range of training courses from basic to advanced skills, along with opportunities to develop specialist endoscopy, management and bowel screening skills.

• Registered nurse or ODP with relevant clinical experience.
• Desire to gain exceptional knowledge and skills in gastroenterology and related procedures.
• Excellent communication skills;
  Welsh language skills are desirable but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work over six days a week and participate in on‑call rota.
