Integrated Care Clinician (Paramedic) Llangunnor Band 6
Location:
Llangunnor Town, Carmarthen.
Contract:
Permanent. Salary: £40,559 – £48,841 per annum (pro rata).
The post holder will conduct telephone triage assessments of patients, advise on the most appropriate interventions, and work autonomously within agreed guidelines.
Main duties- Perform telephone triage assessments of patients.
- Advise on the most appropriate interventions using best clinical practice, Trust policy, protocols and guidelines.
- Work independently and in a multi‑disciplinary team, providing remote clinical decision‑making for a broad spectrum of patients ranging from minor ailments to complex conditions.
- Support patients, other healthcare professionals, and partner organisations while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.
Suitable for those with a background in paramedicine, including experience in front‑line or telephone triage services. Welsh language skills are desirable.
Person specification Qualifications and/or Knowledge & Experience- Registered HCPC Paramedic with demonstrable post‑registration experience in front‑line services.
- Evidence of regular update training and continuous professional development as required by the regulating body.
- Strong listening and communication skills.
- Collaborative team working ability.
- Self‑initiative, independent decision‑making.
- Sound clinical decision‑making capabilities.
- High levels of current clinical knowledge and computer literacy.
- Commitment to ongoing training and mandatory updates.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to speak Welsh.
- Flexible approach to work – rotating shift system including nights and weekends.
- Demonstration of the Trust values and behaviours.
All candidates must hold appropriate UK professional registration. Candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland nationals may need sponsorship for a Health and Care or Skilled Worker visa.
